About Emilio
Emilio Bou Onk is a passionate Documentary Filmmaker and Cinematographer based in Lebanon. He graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a BFA in Film & Television, specializing in Cinematography. With a strong foundation in both technical filmmaking and artistic vision, Emilio has worked on a diverse range of films, particularly documentaries and brand films, both in Lebanon and the United States. Driven by a desire to preserve cultural heritage, Emilio launched Afaq Films, a documentary production company dedicated to capturing and sharing the rich stories of Lebanon and beyond, offering brands compelling visual narratives that enhance their brand and connect with audiences.
I believe that films have the power to be more than just stories shown through a cinematic lens, and to become platforms for advocacy and research.
